I still have one more piece of software to add to the computer and I think that I am going to buy a scanner. I lost that function with the printer. Last week I attended the Robin Robins Bootcamp virtually so this is the first week that I have been back to doing “normal” activities on the computer.
I am finding the buttons in the Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook. Everything is different from the Office 2003. For Word I keep resetting the font to Times New Roman and 12. I will figure out how to make it stay later. I just want to catch up.
For Excel, I needed to change the month for a document to be used in April. I finally found the Replace. It is to the right side of the screen. Edit is not where it was.
For Publisher, I started editing the March Newsletter. Yes, I told you I am behind. I will use it for marketing campaigns. Anyway, I had to find the buttons to remove the guidelines. Then I had to find how to insert items. I found them. I just have to proof what I did, make a few changes and then it will be ready to have printed.
I just finished updating a contact in Outlook. I downloaded an export file from the old computer of the names, email addresses, and phone numbers. Now as I access the people I am updating them. In this case I had new info to add. The basics all worked. I just had to find Print.
At least I can now get this written. I am getting there.

Have you considered getting rid of your printer and getting an all-in-one? How old is your printer?
The reason I ask is that I still have my workhorse HP Laser printer. It's rather old and was originally meant to run on a parallel port. I converted it to USB but in newer OSs, printing can be just a bit flaky. It took me awhile to notice it and it seems to be even flakier, lately, but nothing that I can point to as the exact problem.
Of course, I think we've all heard some of the all-in-ones do so much that they do nothing well, but I thought I'd mention it. Especially if your printer is not originally a USB printer.
