Iced In - Catching Up

I have chosen to stay home these last four days. Networking meetings were canceled due to the weather. I had one meeting that was one-on-one on Wednesday. I sent the email about canceling and the other person said they agreed. We rescheduled for next week.

It is amazing what I have gotten done. I have done the chores that I would normally do and attended the webinars that were scheduled. I have also had time to work on the marketing funnel. I have ordered some marketing items and sent others for copying. I have the first 3 Junior Achievement lessons ready and am working on the 4th one. Tearing the game cards apart takes time!

On Monday and Tuesday I enjoyed watching my neighbors working to get out and go to work. I was awakened at 5:30 AM Tuesday morning by one neighbor working to get up a hill and onto my street. He must have had to try 5 times to get from his drive, up the hill and make the turn. I was laughing and so glad that I did not have to go.

I remember the days of having to drive in this mess to get to and from work. I remember the time they put the slag down (clay dirt with some salt) while I was at work. One person from up north asked when they were going to put the salt down. Another worker from up north informed the new one that the red dirt was it.

We now get a brine mixture put on the roads before the weather comes in. Since I had to drive over it Saturday and Sunday I will need to take the car to a car wash after a rain.

I am out of milk so I had a smoothie for breakfast. The streets are clear and I should be able to get over the one ice patch in my drive in a little while. I guess all good things have to come to an end sometime.
